Meet Body Lingo
Jo Jo Gator, Emily Bawn and Jesse Smith create a new and exhilarating Pop Dance explosion, “Body Lingo”. Gator, the president of Hit Brothers Records, discovered the two singers during a voice contest he was judging at the Comedy Connection in East Providence, Rhode Island, in 2011. He immediately pulled them from the competition and signed both to a recording development deal. Although not truly a member of the group, Gator writes, produces, and performs cameos in a few songs.
Emily Bawn grew up on a farm in Stow, Massachusetts where she started her journey to the stage at a young age by singing to the family chickens. As a graphic designer working for Hit Brothers Records, she was delivering proofs to Gator at a contest when she asked, “Is it ok if I get up there and sing?” “Go have some fun.” was his response, and to his and 300 other onlooker’s amazement, Emily truly brought the house down with a natural style and pure angelic voice. A star was born.
Jesse Davis, a single dad, athlete and Karaoke DJ, is also a natural. He compliments his great voice by being the nicest, politest, personable kid you would ever want to meet. He transforms into a top notch showman whenever a microphone is put in his hands.
After the group’s first studio session, it was evident that Jo Jo made the right decision with this team. Both Jesse and Emily write while also having a big part in all the decisions that are made with their new group: Body Lingo.
